Christmas is around the corner. I’m still sitting at the office on this Friday but my mind has wandered off to the festivities and to the travel plans afterwards.
However, after the impulsive setting up of a new blog last night, I was surprised to find that WordPress has integrated AI as well in generating featured images. Yes, I remember that finding images in the past involved extensive googling and checking out the options and the sharing policy of each creator. It was such a stressful extra burden that partly prompted my hiatus because it took such many steps just to release a post and the time should’ve been devoted to writing instead.
WordPress AI Feature Image
So I found the AI Feature Image Generation tool by WordPress, and their sample entry message about Christmas was this:
Create a highly detailed, high-resolution featured image that captures the festive spirit of Christmas. The main subject should be a beautifully decorated Christmas tree adorned with twinkling lights, vibrant ornaments, and a star on top. Surround the tree with wrapped presents, glowing candles, and a cozy, inviting atmosphere. Use soft, warm lighting to create a magical and cozy ambiance, evoking the joy of the holiday season. The style should be a blend of realism and a touch of whimsy, with sharp focus on the tree and presents, while softly blurring the background to enhance the main subject.
Below is the result.

Meta AI
Meanwhile, Meta (Facebook/WhatsApp) has also launched its own AI tool recently and it has taken my circle of friends by storm! However its earliest stage still shows some weaknesses, namely in the ability for the tool to understand the instructions clearly, resulting in a couple of rejections and editing before they finally show the image. Here’s the instruction:
Create a picture of a Christmas tree in a tropical area in Indonesia. In front of the tree there are a few presents on the ground and some village children are opening those presents. All of the children are smiling.
The background is a view of a village in Bali.
And here’s the result by Meta AI:

Ahh, I love this new tool! Thanks AI.
